Maths, English, Science and Food Technology - This fun-packed project will involve your reception or Year 1 class in fun activities. Some of the skills involved include estimating, measuring, investigating, designing, describing. Some tasks lend themselves particularly to group work. A 6-page document with suggestions for use and differentiation is also included. Talk about pasta and their shapes, use them to measure items, experiment with pasta in various ways, design your own, create a bar chart, make a pasta monster and write about it. These are just a few of the activities and tasks included. This could be a 3-4 week project, though it depends on how many lessons are dedicated to the project each week. This English presentation will enable you to take learners through Advent and Christmas in Austria and other German-speaking countries step by step, day by day. Perfect for a pre-Christmas school assembly, the 17 slides (in English) are fully illustrated and include several moments for reflection; a great insight into other cultures.
